HTC to reportedly launch a mid-range smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC
Hello Friends Todays Topic HTC to reportedly launch a mid-range smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC
Although HTC was among the top smartphone makers in the world, the former OEM from Taiwan has since failed to keep up with the times. While there have been recent launches and the company did makes the news when its smartphone division was acquired by Google, it’s largely become irrelevant in the larger scheme of things. This is sad, because HTC once built the best Android smartphones in the world.
Further hinting at its slide towards irrelevance is the latest product offering from the company. HTC is reportedly developing a new mid-range smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snadpragon 435 SoC. The listing was spotted by Nashville Chatter on the Bluetooth SIG website. It’s worth pointing that the chipset is two years old now, and even budget devices such as the Rs 6,999 Realme C1 offer the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC.
While HTC does have other high-end devices in development, it seems that its mid-range portfolio is oddly misplaced from actual market conditions. HTC’s continued reliance on its once-superior brand value and hopes that this will help it sell patently inferior devices in the market is strange and awkward on the face of it.
The Taiwanese company isn’t done and dusted by any means, and will be launching the HTC Exodus 1 soon. This new blockchain-centric smartphone offers enhanced security and better functionality for anyone with business in blockchain and crypto-trading. Meanwhile, the company also launched the HTC U12+ flagship smartphone, but this device never made it to India.
